DescriptionPrinted in colour in the 'Leader' on December 6, 1995.
She had originally been asked for a design for a Promotion and Development Board brochure; they eventually used a poster. The design was resurrected when an unnamed retailer wanted an Upper Hutt tee shirt. The design took a solid month to complete. The tree is a stylised totara, and the Kowhaiwhai border signifying friendship and hospitality took two-and-a-half hours of typesetting. She had help from Graeme Moffatt of Desk Top Designs, and Murray McMichael of The Shirt Shack.
The shirts would retail at $30-$40; retailes listd were J & N Books, Magna Carta, Ian Pearless Menswear and Thimbles & Threads.
