This may be the earliest reference to such a projet
Silver Stream Railway would be hosting a meeting to gauge support for the project. President John Raffan said they did not have the time to undertake the project, and were hoping to find people to form a steering committee to seek funding and council approval for the project.
The article does not mention the railway line layout shown here. From other pictures in the collection, old steam locos were stored in the 'main locomotive depot', and Silver Stream hoped to have a connection to the main line; the road/rail bridge would presumably be new.
