DescriptionHe had founded the law firm Ward and McCulloch, and been honorary solicitor to the RSA and Free Kindergarten Association.
He had been a founding member of Upper Hutt Rotary in 1954, a vice-president in 1956, and third president (1957-58), and had served on all the club's committees.
A greyscale image was printed in the 'Leader' on July 5, 1988, and reprinted on November 8; he had died in October.
The obituary added the following:-
He had helped the library establish its record listening service, been a long-standing church warden in the Anglican parish of Trentham, and was involved in the Masonic Lodge.
