Bern Robb - "I was in the shop buying every week or picking up the wool they set aside for me so I could pay for it as I needed it and I didnt end up with differrent batches. Helen and John were more than business owners to their customers, they were friends and very knowledgable about all things wool. They went out of their way to help you and find what you needed".

Kate McCombs - "Mr and Mrs Fenton were lovely! I’d take my Nana in there often to by her wool so she could make baby items for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and then great great grandchildren as well has nephews and nieces plus anyone who was having a baby that she new. The Fentons were always helpful at helping her find what she needed in wool, buttons and ribbons".

Charlie Clayton - "We lived next door to Helen's mother Ann in Naenae for 10 years. John and Helen were lovely people to run into again when we moved to Upper Hutt for the racing fans. Helen's maiden name was Hannam yep her nephew was 'The Pope' Robbie Hannam".
