DescriptionThis proposal was printed in the ;Leader' on May 20, 1998; the March 29, 2000 layout is noticeably different.
This version is as printed; a version with North at the top is included in the March 29, 2000 node.
The gap at bottom left was occupied by Marryatt Motors Ltd until Ross Connor Motors took over in April 1973, and later by Cannon Point Motors. By 2016 or earlier, the site housed a group of four shops with off-street parking.
Oak Gardens Ltd had recently completed Kowhai Court; a 42-unit development in John Street; this new site would have 57 units
The May 31, 1988 'Leader' reported that a Montgomery Industrial Park's proposed 'technology park' on this site had been dropped after neighbours' objections.
