DescriptionPrinted in the August 24, 1984 'Leader with an article by Stuart MacAskill, at that stage deputy-chairman of the Wellington Regional Council, about the threat to Kaitoke Regional Park posed by the motorway.
In the map, north is at "12 o'clock".
Partially reprinted on September 17, 1985, with the alternative connection further west.
A June 1990 map showed a different version of the motorway, with no sign of a tunnel, and with the alternative involved in upgrading the existing route. The motorway had been moved nearer the river at the Te Marua lakes.
