DescriptionPrinted in the March 24, 1971 'Leader'.
There was $3000 on hand, and another $9000 plus a Government grant of $8000 would be needed; a 'monster gala' would be held on April at Maidstone Intermediate; extensive details were given.
A version with a different background had been printed in the February 18, 1970 'Leader' when the Home and School Association launched a fund for a hall; it was aimed at $10 000.
From Google Maps, it looks as if a hall was not achieved.
