DescriptionPrinted, with a street view looking south-east, in a front-page 'Leader' advertisement seeking subscriptions to a $180 000 cash loan towards the new civic centre. By this stage the administration block was well under way. As in 1968, the civic hall was still going to be aligned east-west, with only narrow connections to the foyer and amenities block, which would face the part of Martin Street which was incorporated into Fergusson Drive.
