DescriptionPrinted in the April 9, 1969 'Leader', with a site plan, in a front-page advertisement seeking subscriptions to a $180 000 cash loan which would be used to make an early start on the new civic hall. The administration-and-library building outlined in the background was nearly finished.
As in 1968, the hall building and its amenities block in front, were aligned parallel with Martin Street (now Fergusson Drive).
