DescriptionPrinted in the June 25, 1969 'Leader' construction was under way.
Magnus handled Austin cars and commercial vehicles, and already had ten branches, from Nelson to Whanganui and Gisborne.
The building no longer survives.
The original drawing was probably black-and-white, but was printed in greyscale; a black-and-white scan did not come out well. To see a greyscale version, use the second thumbnail image, below.
The main version here was printed on November 19, when the branch opened; shadows had been added. The map provided showed Fergusson Drive crossing the end of Logan Street, and did not mention Main Street.
