DescriptionPrinted in the March 8, 1967 'Leader' and repeated on June 21, after the former council chambers had been demolished. This building would replace the former council chambers.
The bank had leased the chambers from 1956, and bought the building in 1966.
The bank would have temporary premises in Mark and McKenzies' building, across Russell Street, and Mark and Mckenzie would cease their appliance retailering activities, becoming Mark and Wood, estate agents.
The top left corner carried a brief description.
