DescriptionPrinted in the October 4, 1967 'Leader', ahead of a coming gala. The building's approval had nbeen announced in the September 13 issue, which said it had been adapted from an American design as a Nelson Plan type of library; money raised at the 1966 gala had opaid for a mezanine floor to be added.
It would be 50 feet/15.24 metres square, with walls of concrete blocks and asbestos(!) and Decramastic roofing (galvanised steel panels pressed to resemble groups of tiles, thne coated in bitumen and covered in stone chips; they were light-weight, but had problems with failures of the coating).
