DescriptionOne of two pictures printed in a June 1, 1966 'Leader' advertisement just after Upper Hutt had been declared a city. The company was expecting to begin moving staff from Petone in the near future, and would be completely moved early in 1967. They had been advertising for staff since April.
General Motors ended car assembly in the plant in November 1990.
