DescriptionPrinted in the June 2, 1965 'Leader' with a mayoral statement and a plan of the buildings and site.
Library first stage at left, town hall/little theatre at right; first- and second-stage municipal offices beyond civic square, central.
The architects were Gabites and Beard.
The existing Main Street offices and inadequate library would provide suitable space for the Power Board, which had raised hackles by invoking the Public Works Act as a way of acquiring Main Street property, before settling for temporary premises in Russell Street.
