Details
DescriptionThe original 1933 buildings in Tawai Street had proved too small, and a new site had been found at 485 Main Road, opposite Trentham Memorial Park.
This drawing (headed 'No Parking Problems here . . .') and a perspective view were printed in the October 21, 1964 'Leader'. Work on the hall had begun on May 2; a future manse was also listed.
The church moved to the new site in March 1965. Work on the manse started un March 1966, and it opened in May 1967. The church was never built, and the congregation joined the Methodists as Upper Hutt Uniting Parish. The hall was demolished in 1975.
