Content & arrangement
Description
To celebrate 100 years of Suffrage in New Zealand, the Upper Hutt City Council's recreation and Community Affairs division put together a time capsule. The items in the time capsule were contributed by local community groups, organisations and individuals. The time capsule was to be opened 25 years later on 19 September 2018, the 125th anniversary of Suffrage in New Zealand. The time capsule was opened at The Mall by Mayor Wayne Guppy on the 19 Sept 2018.
