DescriptionOne of a collection of 9 greyscale prints in envelope 48 of a collection of images probably taken by town-planning staff. This envelope's contents are primarily about zoning, and most prints have planner's remarks in the margins.

A search of Google Maps suggests (on the basis of similarity of art deco house on right with 28 Heretaunga Square) that this photograph may have been taken in vicinity of 28-30 Hereutanga Square, with the house on the left having possibly been subsequently replaced by a re-located bungalow (see Google Streetview image, left hand column).

The Residential A classification may apply simply because of nearness to the railway, noted by the photographer.
