AddBy: Brian J. Pearce11th Feb 2015 9:53AMThis bridge was built by contractors Sykes and Shaw of Upper Hutt. The construction price (which was exceeded) was 2049 pounds. It was officially opened on 24 May 1913 by the Member of Parliament for Hutt (1902-1917), T.M. Wilford. The structure comprised six 40-foot spans, and a roadway 14 feet wide. The bridge was demolished in 1987.
