They were friends of my Mothers, Mary Danahay( married name Cook) so photo was taken late 1930’s . Mum born in 1920.
This bridge was over the Hutt River to McCurdys Castle ( Bonnie Glen) and was washed away in the floods. The bridge over the Whakatiki River to McCurdys Castle was amongst trees re photo and still there in the 1950’s though not useable.
