    By: Brian J. Pearce2nd Oct 2014 9:13PMThis bridge had six 40-foot spans and a roadway 14 feet wide. It was built by contractor Sykes and Shaw of Upper Hutt and was officially opened by the Member of Parliament for Hutt (1902-1917), T.M. Wilford.
    The construction contract price (which was exceeded) was 2049 pounds. The bridge was demolished in 1987.
