Golders' Cottage; visitors from Turkey.

Details

DescriptionGolders Cottage had a special group of visitors from Turkey as part of their day in Upper Hutt in August 1998.

The group from the Friendship Force of Izmir in Turkey arrived in six vintage cars belonging to Horowhenua and Wellington vintage car club enthusiasts.

Pictured are (left) exchange director Cavide Atakan and Friendship Force president Ferhan Sahinci in this 1916 Willys Tourer. It was also an unusual opportunity to travel on the open road in vintage cars which are banned from public roads in many other countries.
