Mary-Anne Thomson - "I'm pretty sure I took the photo of Princess Anne. I covered her visit for the Leader and took a lot of photos of her at different locations. What a lovely down to earth person she was between the official visits."

PhotographerMary-Anne ThomsonDescriptionPrincess Anne was the patron of the College of Occupational Therapists, and had requested this visit; her second in ten years, and unveiled the panel.

CIT council chairman Tom Croft is looking on at left; Murdoch Pahi, Māori liaison officer, at right.

Mrs Mere Williams was a Māori arts and crafts tutor, who guided students who made this panel in 1989 and a second in 1990.
