DescriptionPrinted in black and white in the 'Leader' on June 23, 1992.
The Princes Street roundabout was already under way.
The car-park extension comprised a former Post Office car park and part of Station Street; Thompson service lane was extended to allow through traffic.
Woolworths would pay for all changes, if no objections succeeded; there had been one from Andy Chaplow, worried about reduced Geange Street traffic; it was later withdrawn.
The actual parking layout finally adopted was different from the one shown.
The September 13, 1993 'leader' printed a plan of the car park between Russell and Wakefield streets; it was part of a plan which included this Geange Street car-park; it may have been a plan which superseded this one.
In May 1994 the 'Leader' reported a proposal to change the name of the remaining part of Station Street to Geange Street.
