DescriptionThe Bible was printed by John Baskerville, printer to Cambridge University. It was being transferred to St John's Theological College, which had proper storage facilities. Its value of $30 000 was due to its rarity; only around 1200 survived. Unusually for an English Bible, this edition includes the Apocrypha.
Two pictures were printed in colour in the August 20, 2003 'Leader'; one showed the Bible with church verger Molly Newman; this other one gives the best detail.
