The play was one of three by Philip, a local optometrist. They were collectively called 'The Age of 'Reason' and would be staged 'from July 22 to July 2'.
July 18 'Leader'; the play had been selected to go to the North Island regional finals of a national play festival.
The Heretaunga Players commissioned 'Sleight of Hand', which they performed from November 30 to December 9 in 1995.
